Fall
Something is magical about fall, I'm not sure what it is. Maybe it's the way that the leaves crunch underfoot or the way the smell of baking seems to own every corner of your home. I've fallen in love with autumn this year. Everything about it seems to call to me and I can't resist it. Fall is a time of community, with bonfires, hayrides and telling ghost stories around a blazing furnace. Sharing apple cider and blankets. It has something to do with the nip in the air that makes everything seem possible, and the smell of freshly baked pumpkin pie on the wind. The cold drives us inside to be warm and comfy in a blanket catching up on a good book. I think I know what makes fall so magical, it's well-being and community, it's the sense of openness that everyone wants to feel, but still in the warmth of a blanket on a cold autumn's night.
"Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall."
-F. Scott Fitzgerald
